I don't believe in random, but I felt the pressure not to change the name of the tag. I was tagged several times on facebook to make this list, and I finally sat down last night to do it. It totally surprised me and was actually fun! I thought it would be hard to come up with 25 things, but actually could have written many more. It's not because I think I am that interesting, but I feel strongly about some things/people in my life and love to tell other people. So...here's my list! I encourage you to try it ~ if you already have, please leave us a link in the comments below so we can visit you!
1. I met Christ when I was 12, and I truly believe He saved me and I would be a complete wreck today if it weren't for His love and forgiveness.
2. I loved school--ALL of it--even Junior High.
3. I was a Pine Cove camper when I was 12 (see # 1), and for a few more years after that. I went back to work there in 1996, and could clearly see myself in those little girls.
4. Matt and I became inseparable in August '96, and dated for 2 weeks before we started talking about getting married.
5. We got married in December '97, and it was the best thing I ever did.
6. I seriously have the most amazing husband. He loves Jesus more than he loves me. I love that about him.
7. I have three kids--the last one was a total, perfect surprise. I secretly didn't believe this really happened to people (except the C's :)) until it happened to us.
8. My third pregnancy was scary, and ended in a premature emergency c-section. I told Matt that day that I wouldn't mind more children -a long time from now- but they would need to come from somewhere else please. Oh, and after we somehow have another bedroom.
9. I love being a Pastor's wife. I think Matt was made to be a Pastor, but I am not sure why God chose me to be a Pastor's wife. I sometimes worry about being "sweet" enough, and figure God gets a good laugh out of me!
10. I love my church. I love that my husband preaches the Bible. That's it. I love all the new families I am getting to meet, I LOVE my friends. I would do anything for them.
11. I need more time in the Word. Notice I didn't say that I don't have the time...
12. I worry. A lot. About nothing sometimes.
13. I like things to be "even". And symmetrical. I have a trunk on either side of the living room armoire, and each has the same big pillow on top. I love them!
14. I am sarcastic, but I am trying to be less so.
15. I have precious, loving parents-including my in-laws-and they are all amazing grandparents. My brothers-all three-are crazy great Uncles, and I have been blessed with a new sister-in-law, whom I love too.
16. I watch a show on the Style channel called "Clean House". It is about people who hoard, and I watch it because it makes my house look clean!
17. I like the cookie part of a chocolate chip cookie the best and it wouldn't bug me if there weren't any chips at all. Well, maybe one or two.
18. I get emotional when it come to my kids and sometimes cry for not much of a reason-they are such a gift. I cry very easily when I am at Bethany's school and I am proud of her.
19. I have the most beauiful Lab that I have ever seen and I really believe he is the best dog we'll ever have. I have a basset hound too. :)
20. I have a hard time spending money.
21. I love to be frugal and too often will tell you how much I spent on something. You say "Cute bag", I say "5 bucks!". I should say "thanks!"
22. I think alot about how the world is getting smaller and how differently my children are growing up than the way I grew up.
23. God is growing my heart for Katy Moms. I started a FB group "I am a KatyMom", thinking that it would be a cool way for all my friends keep up and chat. It now has 160 members and I know less than one third. Moms want to connect with other moms.
24. I love my coffee, but it has to taste like dessert.
25. I love those little freeze-dried marshmallows in my instant hot chocolate.
25b. I love The Ellen Show...really the part when she sits down in her chair before she interviews anyone. And Blind Musical Chairs. And web videos. And I like the very last puzzle on Wheel of Fortune. There, I'm done.
